___________________________________________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Flowers make up a big part of the decorations at your wedding and reception. They can be quite costly and use up alot of your budget. Try to keep it more simple and don't use large flowers or over the top arrangements.

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU CHOOSE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS:

1. What are the colors of the wedding?

2. What are the colors of the bridesmaids dresses?

3. What time of year is your wedding?

4. What is your favorate flower?

5. What are the flowers in bloom?

6. What is the theme of the wedding?

7. Where is the location of the wedding?

8. What is your budget?

FLOWER TIPS:

Rent elegant potted plants, flowers, or trees such as palm trees or ficus trees. Plants fill alot of space and save on your flower bill. Try to rent a location that already has alot of plants already there.

Purchase your flower from a street vender or grocery store in bulk. Don't forget to ask how fresh the flowers are.

If you are using fresh flowers in your wedding reception centerpieces and arrangements, cut your cost by purchasing your flowers online through a "wholesale flower" vender. Many online wholesale companies sell flowers to individuals. Try looking up Online Wholesale Flowers. Shop at the farmers market to see if they sell the flowers you are looking for on your budget.

For a budget wedding choose flowers that are locally grown, in season, and available.

Do not purchase exotic flowers, they will need to be shipped in and will add extra expense.

Try to use fillers in your centerpieces, it will keep the cost down. Use fillers such as twigs, vines, greenery, leaves, evergreens, berries, fruit, pumpkins, squash or decorative grass.

Reuse your flowers from the ceremony at your reception. Create arrangements that will serve more than one purpose. Use bouquets as arrangements for the banquet table, guest book table, or favor table.

Plan ahead far enough in advance to plant your own seasonal bulbs, plants or flowers. If you don't have time to grow plants, purchase them from your local nursery or home improvement store.

Avoid having your wedding around Valentine's Day, Mothers Day or Graduation. Shops are busy and flowers are always priced higher and might be impossible to find.

If you are planning on using a florist, shop aroud before you choose the one your going to use and get a few price quotes. You might find a deal if you let them know you are price comparing.
